2006 Winter Olympic Games Turin - Italy

On the occasion of the Olympic Winter Games held in Turin in 2006, the city administration has assigned the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, the drawing up of the environmental recovery project for the Parco of Piazza d’Armi.

The area designated for the occasion to welcome the halls of the sponsors, imagined as the future green heart of the city, had been upgraded with a natural lake and three great ornamental basins with water flowing on a pebbled bed.

For the creation of these water fountains, aligned with the Marathon Tower, Watercube has supplied the water circulation, filtration and purification systems. The aesthetic and functional value of the water features has significantly enhanced the site, reflecting and dilating the symbolic energy of this venue.

A performance, it must be said, really Olympic.
